Our Story

Star Compass began in 2022 with one participant, a small team of support workers, and a clear conviction: that quality disability support in Queensland could look different from the industry standard. From the start, the priority was culture: finding the right people, equipping them properly, and building a team that could be counted on day after day.

The name reflects two heritages that shape the organisation. Christian values guide the work and set the standard the team holds itself to: integrity, excellence, and fortitude. Pacific heritage brings resilience and steadiness when the day is hard. Both show up in how the team walks alongside the people it supports.

Star Compass became a registered NDIS provider in 2024. The team has grown in size and depth, and the work has expanded with it. Relationships have been built and restored. Participants have stepped into opportunities they had not expected. Goals have been reached. That is why the work continues.
