Community and Social Engagement

Community Engagement

Star Compass has a vast range of partner community organisations which we engage with to provide pathways for our participants. We provide opportunities for people to enjoy outings and activities, specially tailored for those living with a disability to enable them to flourish and continue to develop their life skills as well as make friends and visit new places in a safe and supportive environment.

Star Compass helps you lead a life that’s active and meaningful, by helping you to connect with your community.

Built around you

At Star Compass, we understand that participation in community, social, and civic activities is an important tool for developing your social skills and important part of daily living skills and healthy lifestyle. We endeavour to help you get involved with your community, be social, and participate in recreational activities with our range of social and community supports designed to help you enjoy your hobbies, build meaningful relationships, and strengthening your ability to participate independently.

What kind of activities can I participate in?

At Star Compass we offer a range of activities and community access programs that are facilitated by our team of dedicated Support Workers. We aim for participants to be out and about in the community, enjoying all it has to offer, regardless of your support needs.

Activities may vary from day-to-day and are planned on the bases of the individual participant’s needs, interest, goals, and hobbies. They may include but are not limited to activities such as:

Arts and Crafts
Medical Appointments
Community Events
Going on Trips
Going to a Café
Going to the Movies/Concert
